Cara, the founder of Apollo's ARC,  began a small, foster-based grassroots advocacy and rescue organization in 2018 with the mission to provide genuine love and respect for all life and to teach others to do the same. Apollo's Arc Animal Rescue and Care was created in honor of Apollo, a warm and loving Pitbull-Mastiff cross who came into Cara's life with a blue-eyed bang (those soulful eyes turned golden soon after). He sadly and suddenly passed from this world during knee surgery at the tender age of 2 and 1/2 years. Apollo had the right ideas in this life though and he taught us much: He welcomed any and all animals into our home, our arms, and our paws, in a warm and affable way.  In his name, we do the right thing for any animal that we can. Thank you for showing us the way, buddy boy.  You are in our hearts always.
